Palakachi Patal Bhaji | Maharashtrian Style Spinach Curry 

Dal Palak Bhaji in Marathi

Time:  
20 Minutes  
Serves for 2.

Ingredients:
1) 1 bunch spinach 
2) 2 Onion
3) 1/2 cup toovar dal
4) 1/2 cup peanuts
5) Ginger garlic paste
6) 1 tomato
7) Coriander leaves
8) 2 Green Chilies
9) Red Chili powder
10) Turmeric powder
11) Salt

For Tempering:
1) 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
2) 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
3) pinch of Hing
4) Curry Leaves

Method:

Pressure cook  toovar dal along with penuts for 3 whistles.

Wash and chop spinach.

Chop Onion, tomato and chilies.

Mash toovar dal and keep aside.

Heat a oil in a pan add mustard seeds once it crackle add cumin seeds,hing, curry leaves, ginger garlic paste, chopped green chilies and finely chopped onion. 


Saute till it turn into golden brown.

Add chopped tomatoes.

Once oil separated from tomato add chopped spinach and let it cook for another few minute.

Then add the cooked dal, salt mix well and bring everything to boil.

In a small kadai add heat little oil and red chilli powder and give a nice tadaka to
 dal palak.

Add chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with chapati.
