Suranachi Bhaji | Elephant Foot

Serves for 2.


Ingredients:

1) Quarter kilo Elephant Foot (suran)
2) 1 onion
3)  Coriander Leaves
4) Turmeric Powder
5) 1 cup grated coconut
6) ½ tsp Malvani Masala
7) 6-7 Kokum
8) 2 tsp oil
9) Salt as per taste


Method:

Peel the elephant foot. Cut into medium cubes.

Add few pieces of kokum.


Heat oil in pan add chopped onion, saute for a few seconds.

Add suran stir it add sufficient water.


Put lid and let it cook on law medium flame.

Once  suran  ¾ done add malvani masala, turmeric powder and salt. Let it cook for another 5 minutes.

At the other side heat little oil add chopped onion and grated coconut fry till it becomes golden brown.

Let the masala cool.

In a grinder get the fried masala and grind with adding little water.

Add above mixture and kokum to suran stir it and cook for another 5 minutes.

Garnish with coriander and serve hot.
